BROOKINGS, S.D. - The second seeded IUPUI women's soccer team will head to the Mount Rushmore State seeking its first-ever Summit League Tournament title this weekend at Fishback Soccer Park in Brookings. The Jaguars will take on No. 3 seeded North Dakota State on Friday at 6:00 p.m. CST, immediately after top seeded South Dakota State takes on No. 4 Western Illinois.

The championship match is slated for noon CST on Sunday.

IUPUI (15-4) finished the regular season with a school record 15 wins and captured a share of The Summit's regular season title for the second straight year. North Dakota State (10-7-2) joined IUPUI and SDSU as co-champions this season.

IUPUI won the regular season meeting with NDSU, defeating the Bison at Kuntz Stadium on Oct. 16, 3-1. Senior Katrina McCrory put the Jags on top in the game's fourth minute before the visitors tied the match in the 57th minute. IUPUI responded with late goals from sophomores Alicia Brock and Alexandria Baer to extend its winning streak to 12 straight at the time.

Sophomore Megan Hock led IUPUI with 10 goals including a school record six game-winners this season while Brock chipped in eight goals in 15 games. McCrory added six goals and five assists from her center midfield spot.

Defensively, senior goalkeeper Jamie Farrell ranked among The Summit's leaders in shutouts (7), goals against average (0.85), save percentage (.828) and minutes played (1692:52) this season. In front of her, both sophomore Margaret Allgeier and Stephanie Hoffman have played at an exceptionally high level and are regarded among the league's best at their positions.

IUPUI was an impressive 8-1 in games away from its home facility with the only loss coming at Oral Roberts.

This year marks the fifth time in school history the Jaguars have qualified for the four-team league tournament, however, IUPUI is 0-4 in its previous four trips. Last season, the Jags bowed out to eventual champion South Dakota State in the opening round.
