FARGO, N.D. -- IUPUI senior setter Danielle Goodnight has been voted The Summit League’s Setter of the Year while sophomore outside hitter Kalyse Reimbold has been chosen to the conference’s second team, in voting of the league's coaches.  The announcements were made in conjunction with this weekend’s four-team tournament being held at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse on the campus of North Dakota State University.

Goodnight has tallied 1,121 assists in 2009, leading the Jaguars in assists in every contest in which she competed.  With 4,009 career assists, Goodnight took over the top spot in the IUPUI record books earlier this season.

The Martinsville H.S.-product was also voted to the conference’s first team for the second consecutive year.  Goodnight has been named Summit League Offensive Player of the Week twice in the 2009 season.

Second in The Summit with 9.83 assists per set, Goodnight becomes the second IUPUI volleyball player to earn Setter of the Year honors, joining Kristy Burns, who picked up the award in 2000.

A year after earning All-Freshman Team honors, Reimbold was voted to The Summit Second Team in her sophomore year after compiling a team-leading 372 kills and a .202 hitting percentage.

The Carmel, Ind.-native is fifth in conference with an average of 3.41 kills per set.

The second seed in The Summit League Tournament, the Jaguars will seek their first NCAA Tournament berth with two wins, beginning with a first round match against third-seeded IPFW.  The match will start at 5 p.m. CT on Friday, Nov. 20, from the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.  The winner will meet either No. 1 North Dakota State or No. 4 UMKC in the championship at 7 p.m. CT on Saturday.
