MACOMB, Ill. - IUPUI women's soccer sophomores
Natalie Holland and
Kelly Williams were chosen to the 11-player All-Summit League Tournament Team, as announced at the conclusion of the four-team event on Sunday. South Dakota State earned its first-ever league crown and automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament by virtue to a 1-0 victory over Oakland on Sunday.
SDSU eliminated IUPUI by a 2-1 score on Friday.
Holland continued to patrol the central midfield position, attempting one shot in the loss to SDSU on Friday. Williams, a Second Team All-League selection, had her typical strong game from an outside back position against the Jackrabbits.
IUPUI closed the 2008 campaign with a school record 13 wins and seven league victories. In addition, the defense posted a school record eight shutouts and the Jaguars had a program-best six game winning streak late in the season.
