ELMHURST, Ill. - The Summit League announced its Fall Academic All-League recipients on Wednesday as 61 IUPUI student-athletes were awarded. IUPUI trailed only Western Illinois (63) and Oakland (62) for the most recipients from the sports of men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball.

INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced that 139 student-athletes posted a 3.0 grade point average or better for the recently completed fall semester, earning Academic Advisor’s List honors. The total is the top recorded fall semester total in the program’s history and 34 better than last fall’s total of 105.

ELMHURST, Ill. - With the fall season of the 2009-10 academic year in the books, IUPUI has taken the early lead in the race for The Summit League Commissioner’s Cup with 35.5 points, while Oakland is second with 33.5 points. In the race for the Dr. William Steinbrecher Men’s All Sports Award, Oakland holds the top spot, while in the Dr. Helen Smiley Women’s All Sports Award, North Dakota State is in first place.

FARGO, N.D. -- IUPUI senior middle hitter Monica Suding was named to The Summit League Volleyball All-Tournament Team the conference announced on Saturday evening. Suding had 9 kills and a .300 hitting percentage in the Jaguars' semifinal match.
FARGO, N.D. -- The IUPUI volleyball team's record-setting season came to an abrupt end on Friday night, as the Jaguars could never find their rhythm in a 3-0 loss to IPFW in The Summit League Tournament semifinals, played at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse on the campus of North Dakota State. The Jags close the 2009 season with a school-record 20 wins against 10 losses following the 18-25, 21-25, 21-25 defeat.
FARGO, N.D. -- IUPUI senior setter Danielle Goodnight has been voted The Summit League’s Setter of the Year while sophomore outside hitter Kalyse Reimbold has been chosen to the conference’s second team, in voting of the league's coaches. The announcements were made in conjunction with this weekend’s four-team tournament being held at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse on the campus of North Dakota State University.
