ELMHURST, Ill. – The IUPUI men’s golf team has been picked to finish tenth in the 10-team Summit League, according to the Preseason Coaches’ Poll released on Wednesday. Western Illinois dominated the polls, earning six of the 10 possible first-place votes. The Fighting Leathernecks toppled UMKC, Oral Roberts and Southern Utah as they all received the remaining first-place votes, while Oakland finished in fifth-place.

INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced that 139 student-athletes posted a 3.0 grade point average or better for the recently completed fall semester, earning Academic Advisor’s List honors. The total is the top recorded fall semester total in the program’s history and 34 better than last fall’s total of 105.

INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Office of Alumni Relations have announced the five member Hall of Fame Class of 2010. The 2010 class will be comprised of former men’s basketball standouts Matt Crenshaw and Kim King, women’s tennis star Michelle Cunningham and men’s golfer Adam Darrow. In addition, the 1972 men’s basketball team will be inducted collectively, becoming the first team to earn the department’s highest honor.

KETTERING, Ohio - The men’s golf team wrapped up their fall campaign at the NCR Country Club posting a two-day, 36-hole score of 663 (+95), as sophomore Brandon Goecker added some excitement to the final round of the tournament.
